Were you on any of my flights
in 1970? My passport shows the US Visa B1/B2 from the US Embassy in Copenhagen on May 22 or 23, 1970 then stamps at NYC on 23 May, London on 25 June, Anchorage on 4 July with Crewman's landing permit I-95A, NYC on 11 July, 13 July in Barcelona, 22 August in London, 7 October in Tachikawa, 2 November in Tachikawa with stamp YOKOTA, 26 December in Malaga and in 1971 on 13 March in Haneda Airport, etc. Some of the other arrivals and departures must have been on the crew manifest? After this I have the Crewman's landing permit signed on 24 Nov. in Anchorage, on March 4, 1971 in Anchorage, on April 27 in Honolulu, on May 12 in Bangor, Maine and on May 16 in Bangor, Maine. |

VERONIKA GOBBEL THANANANDRAMA IN THAILANDNovember 5, 2011 Dear Elisabeth and all of my ONA friends, it is great to see that another reunion is being planned and I hope many previous and new friends can join up! At this point I have no way of telling if I can even plan to go as my house is in the middle of one of Thailand's worst floods since 50 years with 1.40 m of water surrounding it and more areas being evacuated daily. I now live in a small condo belonging to my sister-in-law in the small seaside resort of HuaHin but cannot even bring myself to walk in the water - it is dark green and the sand has black stripes, water hyacinth washes up daily and I'm not sure that comes from the sea... It is estimated that it will take another month or two at least for the waters to recede and for the cleanup to begin... Now I am happy to have found a small cafe where I can have Breakfast and use their wifi for free and I have already found a friend - a Dutch lady who practices Reiki and we enjoy our daily meetings... Wishing you all the Best for the holidays and a Happy Wintertime! Veronika (Gobbel) Thananan |

VERONIKA THANANAN![]() Women with a mission
VERONIKA THANANAN! Thank you for keeping me in the loop! So much time has passed and I am absolutely thrilled to be connected again, the memories are overwhelming! After I completed High School in Germany ONA was my first REAL job and the job interview, the Visa application in Denmark and the trip to JFK were some of the most exciting times of my life! After the training I was transferred to LAX and found 2 young people I had met on the ski slopes of my home town in Austria the winter before and on the first stopover in Anchorage Alaska I was invited on a trip to Mount Alyeska by an American who had been to the same skiing resort a few months before. What an interesting development! I remember the warm friendship we had and the exciting locations we got to visit, from Frankfurt to London, Mallorca to Maine, Tokyo to Camranh Bay, Basel to Bien Hoa and Da Nang, Oakland to Anchorage... and the list goes on... After I married and had my first boy I heard about the Delta Queen and it is just sad that I never had a chance to experience a trip on that great riverboat! I just wonder what happened to some of the young ladies I worked with: Inge Olson, Angelika in San Diego, Cherrie, Linda... Thanks again for connecting us! Veronika (Gobbel) Thananan
