ONA - Where people make a difference

I was employed with ONA as a Flight Attendant Crew Scheduler in the JFK offices, along with Cindy Moser, Nellie,
and Cathy Cahill. I was employed in the years of 1975 and 1976. Being the first of many airlines I worked for,
ONA has always been the one that holds the fondest of memories, as it is true of their motto, " Where People Make
a Difference ".

Having worked for many airlines in my career, the best Scheduler's, the best Flight Attendant's and Office personnel,
by far, were ONA employees. It seemed like a family, a family that cared about each other, which produced
outstanding results, day in and day out, for the Airline and each other. The memories and stories, have not
been lessened by the passing of time but greatly cherished and remembered, and told of, to others. ONA lost
the 2 DC-10's about 6 weeks apart, with no loss of life, this says a lot about the Cockpit Crews and
Flight Attendants I had the privilege to work with and know, "Where People Make a Difference". ONA may be
gone several years now, but it has not been forgotten! After leaving ONA, I went west getting a job at Hughes
Airwest in Orange County. This became Republic in 1980, moving to Memphis in 1985. Republic merged with
Northwest in 1986, which merged with Delta in 2008. I left the airlines in 2010.

TACHIKAWA JAPAN

I see ONA had a lot of operations
involving Tachikawa Japan. I also
was in Tachikawa during the middle
60's. My father was the Chief of the
Flight Inspection Office for the FAA.
We moved from Virginia for him to open
the office in March of 63, and
remained there until Mar. of 67.
I am enclosing an article from the
Stars and Stripes showing the FAA
plane my father was flying! All ended
well, but the plane went to the fire
yard for the Air Force personnel
to practice on! Took me years to find
this article from the paper as it was
Aug. of 66 when this happened.
Thanks for a great website! I have
really enjoyed this site !!
