Nikki Preede is the Host and Executive Producer of "The Scrushy Trial"
and brings more than 14 years of industry experience to WOTM TV-19.
Nikki´s career as a respected and trusted journalist began exactly one
year before graduating from Troy University with a degree in Broadcast
Journalism. Hired to report and anchor for the CBS affiliate in Montgomery, Al.,
four months later, Nikki was also freelancing as a feature reporter with CNN.
Five months after that, the college senior landed a job with WIAT CBS 42 in
Birmingham where she was a general assignment reporter, news anchor
and even fill-in sports anchor.
Two years later, Nikki made her next career move to the number one
rated television station in the market, Fox owned and operated WBRC Fox 6.
During the six years she worked as a reporter
and anchor for Fox6, Nikki covered many of the regions top news stories and
events. She was even the first to report on the alleged fraud
at Health South, broadcasting live on the front lawn of the Highway
280 headquarters when federal agents first entered the building.
Nikki has been honored more than two dozen times for her efforts
and outstanding performance on and off camera.
Although she´s covered everything from the humorous to the tragic,
Nikki prefers breaking news and in-depth coverage that allows the
viewer to get the "whole story", not just the two minute version.
