I flew for ONA in the mid/late 1960's, aircraft type
DC8, DC9. ONA sent me to Frankfurt to help out with
summer opns, I got together with
Dimitri Pavlowitch in Europe, we wound up in Palma
de Majorca (I had gone back to flying for a short time).
ONA sent Dimitri to Malaga, I worked as a ground rep for
TIA there, after that back to Frankfurt for several years.
I worked for Saturn Herc operations until they were
purchased by TIA and the opns moved to London. After
Saturn I was hired by Seaboard World Airways to
coordinate their DC8 operations for Saudia. By then
Dimitri had gone back to the US and was working with
Lou Furlong in Wilmington, OH. I returned to the US
in late 1979, in early 1980 Dimitri and I split up and
I moved to Miami. In Miami I learned that George
Batchelor was starting another airline ... Arrow Air.
I worked for Arrow from their founding in 1980 until
I left to start my own company in 1992. At Arrow I was
director of charter sales, aircraft scheduling and
after the gander crash I took on fuel purchasing as
well. My company was called Jet-A-Service, I handled
fuel purchases for Arrow, Rich, Strategic Air,
Caribbean Transportation and a few others. I disolved
the corporation in 2010 but I still dabble in jet
fuel contracts. The attached photos are Dimitri with
Donna Peck (my roommate in Manhattan) and With Mike
Boradale ONA ground service UK. Donna passed away many
years ago but I wonder about a few old friends like
Liv Norman (a flight attendant from Norway) and Capt.
Bill Carson.

CABIN CREW REQUIREMENTS
Overseas National Airways places great
demands on its cabin crew. Each cabin
crew member is responsible for giving
our passengers a good inflight experience.
Furthermore, the cabin crew is responsible
for passenger safety and comfort, which
requires a sense of responsibility,
collaborative skills and flexibility.
As a cabin attendant you must be able
to give first aid and prevent and handle
any critical situation. You should have
a desire to provide a good and personal
service and be responsive to passenger
requests and needs. You will be working
at all hours of the day, often under
time pressure and subject to high work
requirements.
