NETTIE MILLER IN MEXICO, OCTOBER 2005

Mexico was great! I am so lucky because my friend Judy meets me at the airport in Cabo St. Lucas. The first day and one other day we spent shopping in San Jose Cabo, which is really more beautiful than Cabo. We went to quite a few beaches while I was there -- one past La Paz where we sat on the beach, drank Corona Beer and had fresh wonderful shrimp grilled in garlic and butter. One night Judy had some friends over which was fun and we ate outside under the stars -- Went to an exhibit opening at one of the art galleries. We hiked, exercised, talked and just had a lot of fun. Very relaxing vacation. Judy's cat Eddy liked me so he slept every night under the mosquito net with me and when I was lying in the hammock outside under the palm trees he would jump on me and just lay there and purr -- so sweet. I had a letter from Wally Shah, who many years ago was an ONA stewardess, who is married and lives in Nairobi -- she has invited Alice Kumschick and I to stay with her in Nairobi -- so hope that comes to pass probably won't be until September 2006 or so.

Best to all old pals at ONA from globetrotting Nettie

Be a good boy now, be a cowboy!

When you were flying, do you remember the guy who always wanted a pair of authentic cow boy boots? One day on a layover in Dallas he found a pair on sale, buys them, wears them home. Walking proudly into the house, says to his wife "Notice anything different about me?
She looks him over, "Nope!"
Frustrated he storms off into the bathroom, undresses, and walks back into the room completely naked except for his boots.
Again he asks, a little louder this time "Notice anything DIFFERENT NOW"
She looks up and says, "What's different? It's hanging down. It was hanging down yesterday. It'll be hanging down tomorrow."
Furious, he yells, "AND DO KNOW WHY IT'S HANGING DOWN. IT'S HANGING DOWN BECAUSE IT'S LOOKING AT MY BOOTS !!!!!"
To which she replied a little wistfully, "You Shoulda bought a hat".

We are the ONA girls, we wear our hair in curls, we wear our dungarees rolled up above our knees, and when we see a man, we do the best we can, we always wear a smile ´cause that´s the ONA style!
