MOE THAWERI worked with Overseas National Airways from 1968 to 1978 as a Lead Mechanic at JFK. I have to congratulate you and others who have kept the good old memories of ONA alive. I was happy to hear about your re-union and would have loved to be there. Was sorry to know that Mr. Hinckley passed away. He was a thorough gentleman and a good boss. I will keep visiting the ONA website to keep myself informed about ONA. If by any chance you have Sam Rogers e-mail, please forward this to him. I used to kid around with him a lot. I wonder where Sullivan, his work mate is? After ONA, I moved on to Braniff, which also went bankrupt and folded. Joe Moser, one of the ONA Maintenance Reps worked with Braniff. I used to reminisce with him the good times we had with Oh Never Again, meaning our good old ONA. When Braniff folded I joined Aeromexico. I had moved to Houston by then. Aeromexico was a good airline, but they also folded just before I quit them. We were all victims of airline demises. Went into motel and inn keeping business of my own after journeying with airlines. Retired in 2006 from working full time. At present time am working part time with my son who is in the construction business. Please keep me informed. Loving regards, Moe Thawer |
