MARILYN HAYWOOD ORRI joined ONA in 1969 and was based in New York that first year. When they opened the base in Los Angeles in 1970 I was part of the first wave to be based there. Most of us were from Los Angeles and had been recruited there. I flew until February of 1973 when I left to get married (still married to the same man). It has been nice to re-connect with many from the LA base at the reunions in Lake Tahoe. My European trips usually took us to London or Frankfurt. There were occasional trips to Oslo, Geneva and Athens. I did a lot of MAC trips to Yokota, Japan and the turn-arounds to Ben Hua or Da Nang. Those were nice since we would be based in Tachikawa, Japan for the month and able to travel to other parts of the country. I was able to attend the Worlds Fair in Osaka in 1972. Many, many fond memories … some wild, some special. I never throw anything away. I came across my ID card, my graduation diploma, the Department of Defense card and a postcard of the three aircraft in use at the time I flew. I also worked a trip to Pisa and actually was able to go up into the tower. The photo is of myself, Gail Bush and Barbara Dial. The photo in the galley is myself and Karla Magnuson. The picture in Bin Hua or Da Nang was taken by someone else but is from left to right: MaryAnn Pryor, Brenda Spenser?, Marilyn Haywood, Angelika Wolfert, Linda Graves, Maryellen Droge and Joanne Staebler. I may not have all the spelling right. I have more photos that I can scan but these seem to catch the essence of those days. Greetings from Marilyn
