KAREN AND GUN VIDAL
With the advent of PanAm on TV, I thought
I'd take a look and see if we were on the
Internet and SURPRISE . . . even a pic of
me in Honolulu is on there. My friend Becky
who was a 2nd Louie in Vietname found it!
I feel like a goose walked over my grave . . .
in Sunday's PanAm show, they were in Belgrad,
which we were also, and I remember they took
our passports and followed us . . . this, of
course, was when Tito was in power . . . and
the PanAm team in Belgrad told us that their
phones were tapped and they, of course, too,
were followed. We got our passports back
when we embarked to boggie out of Yugoslavia.
Talk about nostalgia!!!
I see a lot of my crewmembers on the ONA sites,
and I didn't even know that we were on
Internet . . . also, some pictures of me! Wow!
I live in San Antonio, Texas now, I have 2 children,
and an obstreporous West Highland White Terrier.
My 2nd husband died 3 years ago, so it's just the
Westie and me!! I would welcome hearing from any
and all my friends at ONA from the '60's. I remember
so well the flights into Viet Name, when we were
on TDY in Tokyo, and stayed at the Tokyo Inn there,
for a long time, and flew out of Tachi/Yokota,
and when we got bombarded by the VietCong in
Tonsinute (sp) in Saigon!
Please list me in the Crew Members section, so that
I may stay in touch with everyone, and especially
Gun Vidal, my New York roommate!!!
