FRANK GUIFFREDA

 Frank Mario Guiffreda, 93, of Las Vegas, 
passed away May 28, 2013. He was born Sept. 27, 
1919, in Brooklyn, N.Y. Frank was a longshoreman 
and machinist at Cameron Machine Co. in his 
Brooklyn years. Frank served as a sergeant in 
the U.S. Army during World War II. When he 
relocated with his family to Van Nuys, Calif. 
in 1955, he was a postal carrier for the U.S. 
Postal Service for 17 years. After his 
retirement from the post office, Frank enjoyed 
another career as a ticket/passenger 
representative for Overseas National Airways 
(ONA) in Los Angeles. He moved to Las Vegas 
with his wife, Dolores, in 1987. Frank is 
survived by his wife, of 71 years, Dolores; 
his son, Mauro (Carla) Giuffrida; daughter, 
Linda (Chuck) Baker; grandchildren, Nick, 
Lindsay, Patrick, Mauro, Emalyn, Sophia, Scott, 
Tyrone and Michelle; five great-grandchildren; 
his 96-year-old brother, Joseph; and numerous 
loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass was 
previously held Friday, May 31, at St. Joseph, 
Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. 
Sahara Ave., Las Vegas. Visitation will 
be 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, at Palm Mortuary, 
1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow, at noon, 
at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 
1900 Veterans Memorial Drive in Boulder City.
