Which years did you fly ONA and what crew position did you hold?

I flew as a pilot for ONA on the DC-7s in 1959/1960.

Then on the Electras 1968 - 1974, DC-9s 1975/1976 and DC-8s in 1977. I didn't ride any ONA passenger trips on DC-8s, DC-9s or DC-10s or fly the passenger Electra until after 1969.

I flew for Transocean, ONA, World Airways, and Holiday Airways, ONA, Evergreen, ONA again, TIA (later TAA) and Air National.

Instructed light planes from 1954 and light planes and DC-9s after ONA until the end of summer, 1983.

For 13 years I have been a consultant to firms in the securities (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc.) industry. I live near SFO/OAK.

TRANSOCEAN AIR LINES
Boeing 377 Stratocruiser
A supplemental carrier, Transocean was born in 1946, and at its peak had 6500 employees. Fourteen luxurious double-decked Stratocruisers were purchased used from BOAC to fly the carrier's transcontinental and Pacific routes. Only eight were actually placed into service, with the balance grounded for spare parts. Transocean went bankrupt on July 11, 1960 and the entire Stratocruiser fleet was sold at auction for a mere $150,000. The majority of the remains eventually went to Aero Space Lines, for use in modification of 277s to "Pregnant Guppy" oversized freighters.
