The raspberry shortcake desert topped with whipped cream was loaded upside down in LA, served under turbulence over the Atlantic, we left LAX five hours delayed without pax cutlery on a crammed DC-8 in 1966... and the dinner was delicious when you sat down to eat, soar feet in the morning hours approaching EDDF ... a happy heart soon to be partying at the Palace Hotel Frankfurt! Britt comes from Blekinge County Sweden! She arrived in the US in 1966 together with some 30 Swedish and German candidates, to make careers as cabin crew stationed in New York. Of the stewardesses arriving from Mary Jayne van Vorstsīs Swedish flight school in Gothenburg June 1966, Britt stayed on for a lifetime, together with Margaretha Nisser (New York), Ingrid Mjornell Hinckley Lindsay (New York / Virginia), Christina Bjorklund Werjefelt (Hawaii) Margaretha Thaute,( MA) Birgit Schnor (RIP) (New York), Karin Arndt (Texas) and Chris Starkloff (Christina Linder FL).
