I'm still trying to remember the name of the f/a on the front left. I'm fairly certain the other two are: Patrica Duxbury-Hedges (left rear) and Sue Hawkins (right). This picture was taken onboard N1032F (the a/c that crashed on 11/12/75) just prior to boarding at Frankfurt, Germany.
Photos courtesy Brian van Handel I found some of my pictures from the ONA days. Back then I seemed to have a camera stuck to my eye more often than not. Here's a photo with Nancy Neil and Winnie OŽNeil. We had the day off and hired an Arab taxi driver to take us out to the desert near the Red Sea. He showed us how to catch a camel. I wonder if Nancy and Winnie remember that?! I sure do. |
AND NEWSREEL Copyright Brian van Handel BRIAN VAN HANDEL I worked for ONA from 1971 to 1975 in Frankfurt as a ground service manager and then moved to New York with ONA as the manager of stewardess scheduling until April, 1977, when I joined TWA in Boston as a crew planner. I was transferred to Kansas City in 1980 and stayed with TWA until the end...when AA acquired them in 2001. During my 37 years in the airline industry I can honestly say that my ONA memories are the greatest... everyone knew how to have a good time and be a part of a professional airline at the same time! Regards, Brian ![]() Letter from mr. Bailey thanking ONA crew for handling the bird strike accident in such a professional way. |
Thanks Brian for terrific
