CAPTAIN BILL HARRIS

I started flying with ONA in January 
1969 and flew passengers out of New York
for about 6 months. Thereafter I bid Log Air 
operations as there was a lot more take 
off and landings and many different lay- 
over destinations, which I really enjoyed.

I flew the DC 9 for about 4 years and then 
upgraded to Electra Captain, I flew log air 
for another 3 years until ONA shut that 
operation down. I then went to the DC-8 
and started flying all over the world. 
This was a lot of fun!

I flew the Hodge, ( don't know how to spell 
that) I think it was around 1975, the year 
that the company rented the Greek cruise 
ship and anchored it in the Red Sea.

The rooms were very comfortable and the 
swimming pool was great. We had a lot of 
fun, especially the girl to guy ratio 
which must have been 20 to 1 at least.

When ONA told us they were going to close 
their operation I left and started flying 
Captain for Hawaiian Air. That was my
occupation for about 1 year. I then 
decided to give up my flying as I was 
burnt out.

While flying on the DC8 to Europe I became 
interested in the concrete paving systems 
that I saw in those countries, so in 1978 
I started a pre-cast concrete company.
I ran that business very successfully 
for about 15 years. After selling the 
business to a bigger company, I retired 
at age 55.

About a year ago I became interested in 
the Internet Marketing Business which I 
am now doing,  having fun, helping people 
and making money.

I am really enjoying this and am doing 
very well. Hope all of the old ONA 
crew members are happy, healthy and 
wise.
