When Al was flying for Airlift in Florida,
Helen was working for Concord Airlines as
Manager of Flight Attendants and Instructor.
Helen was put in her position to hire, train
and do a proving run to get the passenger
There were a few other ONA people working
there. One of them was Bob Kosloski,
Flight Engineer. I believe Stu Wotton was
Michael Kaye, Ed's son, was hired as a flight
attendant. He was extremely instrumental in
the mock aircraft evacuation.
In the group photo, back row, second from the
left is Michael Kaye. The rest are Concord
new hires, none where ONA.
At one point, actor, Cliff Robertson was in
Florida filming a movie called "The Pilot".
They leased one of Concord's airplane's for
a crash scene at Opa Locka airport in Florida.
Kosloski was hired to be a technical advisor
and also to be a flight engineer in the movie.
Unfortunately, Concord really never got it's
wings even though we passed the 90 second
evacuation. The movie never got off the
ground either due to some union issue
between Cliff Robertson and the actor's
But we all had a lot of fun.
