ONA CATTLE FLIGHTS
Al Quack tells about his experiences
flying as a flight engineer for ONA.
All Muuhs aboard, please!
Cattle flights
Other unusual trips, one in Dec. 1975,
was a load of 150 head of cows going
from Texas to S. Africa.
Our crew picked this flight up in
Philadelphia and flew them to Monrovia,
Liberia with a fuel stop in Santa
Maria, Azores.
Another crew flew them down to Cape
Town, S. Africa, then ferried it back
to us and we ferried it to Billund,
Denmark.
They bulked out the aircraft with Hi-Fi
electronic gear and we flew it to Windsor,
Canada with a fuel stop in Bangor, Maine.
Capt. John Willard and Co-Pilot Bob Peavler
were on this trip.
The second one in Oct. 1976 when we flew
another load of 70 head of cows and a few
horses up front from Bangor, Maine to
Amsterdam, Holland.
Capt. Frank Kleczek and Co-Pilot M. Katz
were on this trip.
