FRANKFURT - WIESBADEN - GERMANY
I always enjoyed flying to Frankfurt, Germany 
and going to Wiesbaden to stay at the 
Nassauer Hof Hotel there. 

The food I thought in Germany was the best and 
the beer and bratwurst couldn’t be beat, and 
the people there very friendly and helpful. 




I enjoyed going down to the Officer’s Club to 
eat also at times. One trip our whole crew went 
across the street to the gambling casino and we 
all put $20.00 each together to bet with and let 
one crewmember do the betting. 

We later left there with everybody’s money back 
plus $5.00 profits each.

Later the crews stayed downtown Frankfurt, I 
think at a Continental hotel. Also let me say the 
ONA maintenance people headed up by Herb Eckhardt 
always had all maintenance problems taken care of, 
in a correct and timely manner with the utmost 
professionalism. Our operation people there in 
Frankfurt were always on top of the whole situation 
and kept all the crews updated to latest changes. 

On a whole I’d say most all ONA ground station 
personnel, at all our stops did a fantastic job, 
with what they had to work with.
