Dear WOA Alumnus: The Las Vegas 2007 Reunion is fast approaching and I do hope that you will soon submit your registration if you have not as yet done so. I think this may be the best Las Reunion ever. A committee from World Airways headquarters in Peachtree City, Georgia will be at the reunion to seek ideas from the attendees regards the upcoming 60 Year World Airways Anniversity. I received the following email from committee member Wally Rardon on the subject: "I don't have to remind you that 2008 is a significant year for WOA. A committee is working hard to put together the 60th Anniversary for all WOA personnel. We are approaching the festivities with a current employee and retiree perspective, as well as "World"wide in scope. Obviously this is a gargantuan task, but a lot of people are committed to doing everything possible, within our means and budget, to make it happen. One of the things that we would like to capture along the way is some input from retirees as to what WOA has meant to them - interesting stories, memories, etc. We would like to talk to as many individuals in LAS while we are there in hopes of accomplishing that goal. I believe that the end result is creation of a DVD. We will be prepared to begin talking to individuals Monday midday through Tuesday in this regard. One of the plans involves some 'road-show' concept including several World locations globally. We would like to also ask our retirees if they had any memorabilia to donate on a loan basis for the year (2008). We would catalogue items with a promise to take good care of it and return it accordingly. I would further add that if any retiree attending the LAS Reunion would bring memorabilia, we would be prepared to ship, if necessary, any items to headquarters. I would ask the question for your consideration that regarding memorabilia, would it be possible to put out an "all hands" to retirees beyond the LAS attendees? I would appreciate hearing from you gentlemen in regards to what we are attempting to do in LAS and beyond. Some of our best resource as we span 60 years is, obviously, our retirees." Thanks, Wally So that is another good reason to attend the 2007 Las Vegas Reunion. Please provide Wally and the Anniversary Committee with any memorabilia you may have to assist with this very special time in the history of World Airways (our company).
