Leslie riding bareback on Tuff,
a large gelding.
I once took my daughter "Leslie" with me on a trip to Vienna out of JFK. She was about twelve years old. She never forgot that trip and this May she has her 44th birthday but even more will record her 24th year with Continental Airlines and flying as a ISM (International Service Mgr) on the Boeing 777, going non-stop between EWR and destinations like Hong Kong, New Delhi and other places that her father never reached in one flight segment. The multi-crew rest compartments sound like real luxury compared to the stretcher like cots that the ONA DC-7 operation once had in the Pacific. She commutes from Sarasota to Newark when she is not grooming, washing or riding her horses (6) and generally makes me tired just thinking about her schedule which she manipulates on her computer with crew scheduling, maximising either money, days off, ground school requirements etc. I see the generation-gap widening as though I am more history than substance although I am sure of my capability's regarding that crew rest compartment should they need a test pilot.
