Our ONA reunion was just wonderful!
We enjoyed Seared Wasabi Tuna,
Shrimp Cocktail, Voodoo Bruschetta
Appetizers; a Tropical Salad with
Pineapple Vinaigrette, Rib Eye Steak,
Coconut Crusted Mahi, or Calypso
Chicken, and Banana Won Ton for
dessert. The Honoluana Island Grill
at Venice Airport stirred up memories
of faraway places and memorable flights.
Those who travelled the farthest were Cub
Morrison's daughters Marcia Jones, Marian
Pucket & son-in law Ron Puckett. They flew
in from California for the reunion. George
Flavell recruited the most people, bringing
a party of 7 to the event. Dave Case could
not attend but he arranged a glass of wine
& a toast for the group.
We had a display of photographs, a DC 10 model,
an ONA shoulder bag, ONA neck tie, a deck of
ONA cards, a crew list, 1976 bicentennial
poster of the aircraft, ONA newsletter,
an envelope from Leningrad marking the first
flight there (Captain Morrison), and the ONA
cocktail stir sticks.
It was our pleasure to host the reunion!
